About Fleur DeLise
Growing up in the Heartland, Lois was taught to appreciate nature. Values centered on treasuring our natural resources were handed down to her from a family of missionaries and farmers. Using her creativity, Lois learned from a young age to take simple elements found in nature and bring them to life in forms that others could enjoy.
After a career in corporate retail, Lois was drawn back to her roots to create one of a kind décor for the home, opening a gift boutique, Fleur DeLise, on Main Street in Branford, CT in the 1990s.
Ten years later, her focus changed again to nonprofit work and raising a family. Over time as her son grew up she realized she was missing a creative outlet. Thinking she was signing up for a metal sculpture workshop, she was instantly bitten by the jewelry making bug and has spent years honing her craft as a silversmith.
As her work continued to evolve, her metalwork was complimented and inspired by the beauty and elegance of freshwater pearls and natural gemstones. Often times, the pearls or gemstones themselves spark the ideas for her designs.
Lois’ designs are uniquely hers. She creates everything by hand in her jewelry studio. All clasps and findings are sterling silver (.925) or tarnish resistant Argentium silver (.935) and each piece made by hand.
After years of sharing her creations as gifts for friends and family or as donations to help local non-profits, Lois began a new journey and has launched her brand, Fleur DeLise Jewelry.
Lois knows that each piece will find its way to the right owner – one who will appreciate the simplicity and elegance of nature’s gifts.
Enjoy!
